A great day at McGill Rose Garden in Charlotte. This small garden is a hidden gem in the uptown area of the city. I was happy to complete 95% of this on location. It took about 2.5 hours.
This is the first painting I've started outdoors in about ten months. It's definitely not my best, but it felt good to pick up a brush again. Hopefully future paintings will be better. I also have a new camera, so I'm adjusting to how to take and upload photos.
Thank you for looking at my blog. I also have a separate website at jenspaker.com
I'm a life long painter and enjoy painting landscapes and still life. I paint in both oil and acrylic. I paint what I like- sometimes going in phases of different subjects and styles. I like to try new ideas and subject matter. That keeps it interesting and challenging for me. Follow me on Instagram or Facebook and see my work at several galleries in New Bern, NC, Fort Mill, Columbia and Georgetown, SC. Thanks again for taking a look!
